Police Report - 05/03/2012

Fort Plain Police Department

• Stephen Douglass, 42, of 410 Paris Road, Fort Plain, was arrested on April 18, charged with second degree harassment, fourth degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. Douglass was arrested for a physical domestic incident on Hancock Street. It was determined that he forcibly grabbed the arm of a young child, leaving bruising and swelling on the child’s arm. He was also charged for forcibly destroying property belonging to the victim.

• Ricky Frenyea, 40, of 63 Center St., Fort Plain, was arrested on April 24, charged with disorderly conduct. Frenyea was arrested after threatening a person in a Fort Plain parking lot.

• Tirzah Henry, 30, of 395 Progress Road, Gloversville, was arrested on April 20, charged with issuing a bad check. Henry was arrested based on a warrant for issuing a bad check to Nice N’ Easy. She was arraigned in the Town of Minden Town Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $500 cash or bond.

• Jennifer Miller, 28, of 172 Begos Road, Stockport, NY, was arrested on April 25, charged with DWI, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, improper right turn, and refusal to take a breathalyzer test. Miller was stopped for traffic violations, and during the interview, officers discovered she was intoxicated. She also had an open bottle of beer in the vehicle. She was arrested, processed and released to a third party. She is to appear in the Town of Minden Town Court at a later date.

• Erik Olsen, 30, of 172 Begos Road, Stockport, NY, was arrested on April 25 for disorderly conduct. Olsen was arrested after he refused to cease yelling obscenities during the above DWI interview. He was arrested and placed in a patrol car where he attempted to kick the windows out. He was taken to the station, processed and released to a third party. Olsen will appear in the Town of Minden Town Court at a later date.

• Mark E. Oertel, 47, of 16 West Grand St., Palatine, was arrested on April 27, charged with aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, and inadequate exhaust. Oertel was stopped for crossing over the double yellow line several times, and having an inadequate muffler on his vehicle. It was later determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested, processed and released to a third party. Oertel is to appear at the Town of Minden Town Court at a later date.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office

• Jason Scott Ouderkirk, 43, of 44 W. Main St., Fonda, was arrested Wednesday, April 25, and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and a bench warrant violation of probation. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said Ouderkirk was apprehended on three outstanding arrest warrants, out of which two were issued from Palatine Town Court for violating an order of protection. The third warrant was issued by Montgomery County Court for a probation violation. Ouderkirk was taken into custody by Deputy M.G. Spaulding and arraigned in Montgomery County Court before being remanded to county jail without bail.

• Charles John Brownell, 41, of 152 Fisk Hill Road, Fort Plain, was arrested Sunday, April 29, and charged with second-degree harassment. The sheriff’s office said Brownell was taken into custody by Deputy M.G. Spaulding following a domestic incident in the town of Minden. Brownell was arraigned in Minden Town Court and released on his own recognizance, according to the arrest report, and is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
