Police Report - 03/08/2012

St. Johnsville Police Department

• A St. Johnsville woman, Corrine A. Skinner, 37, was arrested by state police around 2:45 p.m., Feb. 28, charged with four counts of petit larceny.

Skinner allegedly stole gas from the Fonda Stewart’s Shop four times during the course of a week. The store provided security footage to the state police department, which then recognized the vehicle and made an arrest.

Skinner was transported to the Montgomery County Jail on $250 bail. It was noted she was also wanted in Herkimer on an outstanding warrant.

• Jesse A. Chase, 23, of 7743 Route 5, Little Falls, was arrested on Feb. 25 and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operator and an equipment violation. During a stop for an alleged equipment violation, a DMV check of Chase’s license allegedly revealed that it was revoked. He was issued tickets and released.

• Cyprian F. Smith, 34, of 512 Thatford Ave., Brooklyn, was arrested on Feb. 25 on West Main Street in the village. During a traffic stop for speeding, a DMV check of Smith’s registration allegedly revealed that his vehicle registration had been suspended due to an insurance lapse. He was charged with suspended registration, no insurance and speeding in zone. Smith was issued tickets and released.

• A juvenile, age 16, was arrested on Feb. 21 and charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and third degree assault. He is alleged to have caused physical injury to another subject and damaged their property. The juvenile was issued appearance tickets and released.

• John E. Cashmer, 18, of 173 Browie Road, Schuyler, was arrested on Feb. 22 and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unlawful possession of marijuana and several equipment violations. During a traffic stop for an equipment violation, a DMV check of Cashmer’s license allegedly revealed that it was suspended. Cashmer was also allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arraigned and remanded on $300 cash bail or $600 bond.

• On Feb. 25, a juvenile was arrested on Monroe Street after police received a complaint about a larceny. The juvenile was allegedly found to be in possession of the stolen property. The juvenile was charged with possession of stolen property and petitioned to family court.

• A juvenile was arrested on Feb. 25 after they were allegedly observed stealing property from a Mechanic Street residence. The juvenile was charged with petit larceny and petitioned to family court.
